About the project

Clear internet speed advice

RightInternetSpeed.com exists to answer one practical question without turning the answer into a pitch for the most expensive plan.

Who publishes Right Internet Speed

Right Internet Speed was created and is published by Tyler Blanchard, its Publisher and Research Lead.

Tyler directs the site's product and editorial work, oversees its research process, approves published site changes, and maintains the project's independent, consumer-focused direction. The site does not present this role as professional networking advice.

How the calculator is different

The calculator looks at what happens at the same time. It shows download and upload separately and links to the sources behind the result. It does not recommend a faster plan just because you own more devices.

What we do not do

We do not test providers, verify plan availability, endorse equipment, quote current prices, or guarantee application performance. Latency, jitter, packet loss, routing, Wi-Fi coverage, reliability, and data caps remain separate considerations.

How trust is maintained

  • The speed data and calculation rules are versioned.
  • Each source has a review date.
  • Tests catch unexpected calculation changes.
  • Future affiliate relationships will never change calculator results.

Editorial standards

The project does not publish fictional experts or imply outside review that has not happened. Read Tyler's profile, the editorial policy, source-selection policy, and corrections policy.
